** A Rose By Any Other name - Series
Artworks inspired by trips to Andalusia in Spain visiting some amazing sites including the Alhambra in Granada, the Cathedral and The Alcazar in Seville. Most of these blossom and flower photographs were taken within the beautiful grounds of the Alhambra and The Alcazar. Many of these original studies were used to create an extensive collection of fabric designs and artworks for both abstract and figurative patterns including the styles and designs of the amazing tiling and architectural features.
This series is based on photographs and studies which have been digitally composited and over-painted. The artworks include double exposures and manipulated effects with paint and pencil scribbles and abstracted writing including references to 'New Rose' and 'A Rose By Any Other Name' from Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet'.
Artist: Czar Catstick works as 'The Emperor's New Clothes Collective'.
